| Working experience and occupation | En. Benyamin bin Ismail ("En. Benyamin") joined AirAsia in March 2010 and has served as the Chief Executive Officer ("CEO") of AirAsia X Berhad ("AirAsia X" or the "Company") since 1 September 2015. Following the successful debt restructuring, AirAsia X has maintained a track record of quarterly profitability under the leadership of En. Benyamin. This sustained financial performance was instrumental in the Company's successful upliftment from its Practice Note 17 (PN17) status. To date, the Company remains profitable in its ongoing operations. As part of the consolidation of AirAsia Group's aviation business under AirAsia X, En. Benyamin has been redesignated from CEO to General Manager ("GM") of the Company with effect from 19 January 2026. In his new role as GM, En. Benyamin will continue to be the accountable manager for AirAsia X in running the day-to-day operations as an airline operating company. En. Benyamin offers extensive industry expertise gained through various roles in the financial sector. He spent eight years in investment banking with a focus on Debt Capital Markets, including three years at CIMB Investment Bank in Kuala Lumpur. His professional background also includes Debt Capital Market experience at Maybank Investment Bank and Affin Investment Bank. |
